President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates on his recent state visits to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo shared details of his international tour, highlighting the breakthrough achieved in negotiations with the European Union on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and engaged in a cordial discussion that touched on current issues and the outcomes of his 15-day diplomatic tour.
Expressing gratitude for the positive results obtained during his international engagements, Prabowo emphasized Indonesia’s strong global standing and commitment to neutrality. He underlined Indonesia’s reputation as a non-aligned country that prioritizes peaceful cooperation and economic partnerships. During the meeting, Prabowo mentioned his visit to Belarus, noting the potential for trade collaboration between Indonesia and the country known for its potash resources.
Prabowo highlighted Indonesia’s neutrality and respect for all nations, emphasizing the country’s preference for building friendships without interfering in domestic affairs. The discussion further emphasized Indonesia’s aspirations to join the OECD, showcasing its broad acceptance on the global stage. State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo were also present at the meeting with Jokowi, contributing to a comprehensive exchange of views on international relations and diplomatic achievements.
